Rock Band 3 Bands – Look to Recent DLC

As far as songs that will be included on the Rock Band 3 disc, speculators need not look any further than bands that were recently released as DLC. With popular artists like Lady Gaga, Carrie Underwood, Foo Fighters, Megadeth, White Stripes, Alice in Chains, and Tom Petty making appearances as Rock Band DLC, it only seems logical that some of their as-of-yet excluded tracks be released on disc.
Also worth mentioning would be the several bands that claimed that they would be featured in upcoming Rock Band games, like U2 and The Who. Even though they claimed they would each be receiving their own Rock Band title devoted to their band (like The Beatles and Green Day before them), it is entirely possible that Harmonix will opt to simply motion capture the members of each band for Rock Band 3 in order to fulfill their wishes.
